Snowblind Studios developed Justice League Heroes and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment published it in October 2006 for Xbox and PlayStation 2, with a script by comic-book writer Dwayne McDuffie. It offered top-down cooperative action-RPG gameplay, with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and other Justice League heroes facing off against Brainiac.
Snowblind applied to the DC license the same combat-and-loot formula it had already perfected in Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath. The result delivered without surprises, appreciated mostly by comic fans looking to play alongside their favorite heroes.
