Threshold, published by Tigervision, offers a territorial-defense alien shooter in which the player must hold back growing waves of enemy ships before they cross a certain line on the screen, hence the game's name. It's one of the many standard-formula shooters Tigervision added to its catalog during the 2600's peak of third-party production. Like so many titles in this segment of the catalog, it's today a piece documented mainly by collectors who track the enormous variety of shooters the console produced during its busiest commercial period.
