Busin: Wizardry Alternative took the classic first-person dungeon structure that defined Wizardry since the 80s -grid-based exploration, permanent death, adventurer guilds- and dressed it in character design and a narrative much closer to Japanese anime than to the saga's original Western fantasy. It's a piece beloved by fans of Japanese-style dungeon crawlers, a subgenre that in those years was starting to strongly differentiate itself from its Western roots. It remains a niche title, but with a loyal fanbase.
