Steve Cartwright, the same designer behind Frostbite, built this fixed shooter with a particular visual twist: instead of conventional alien ships, the enemies take the shape of everyday objects repurposed as space threats, each wave with its own movement pattern. The structure follows the Space Invaders mold, but the visual and behavioral variety between waves gives it an identity of its own.
It's remembered as one of the most polished shooters in Activision's 2600 catalog, with that touch of surreal humor that set apart much of the company's work from Atari's more serious competition.
